Father's Day Grunge Album

So here is a little something I put together that is a little more "on the NOT so feminin side" you could say.  It's a little more on the dirty and grungy side of things but I like this just as well.  I had a lot of fun making this and watching it transform in to something that my husband (and of course the family) will cherish for always.  This is my very "belated" Father's Day gift to him.  It is a little bit of everything but mostly all Tim Holtz.  I love looking back at these pictures and remembering how special each and every one of them are.  It also makes me sad to think of how quickly the time has gone as well.

I created all the envelopes inside the album using the Graphic 45 core impressions cardstock so that I could tuck the pictures inside each one.  I also used the Tim Holtz papers as well as the calendar sheet to indicate the date of when each picture was taken with either a pearl on top of the number if not some other embellishment.  I also used some of the envelopes for tags that I could journal on and have the kids write sentiments on to their daddy.  It is definately stuffed with a lot of goodies but most of all wonderful memories to last forever.

So I am off to hopefully share another album with you soon, this one is a girly one using some Tattered Angels and some more Graphic 45 papers and yummy embellishments.  Good nite for now!  :)

Maya Road Mini Vintage Banner

Hi there!  Well the summer seems to be slipping by so quickly and before I know it my son will be starting first grade and my daughter will be going off to pre-school...sigh!  They are growing up so fast and I wish I could just stop time for awhile...a long while.  I've had a little spare time to play around here and there so I made a little something to hang in my daughters room.  It is a chipboard Maya Road Mini Banner.  I used some of the most beautiful Graphic 45 papers that I absolutley love and decided to use these for the banner.

I also used a little bling (of course) and some glitter.  The little mini chipboard scrolls are also from Maya Road and the little baubles are from Melissa Frances.  The rhinestone embellishments are actually buttons that I had found and of course nothing would be complete without some beautiful vintage seam binding and some vintage lace.  All the things that make my heart melt.

Melissa Frances Postcard Album

Hi there!  I know it has been awhile since I have posted anything lately, I've been busy with my children and enjoying our summer.  But here is a little album that I had put together for my daughters birth pictures to go in from a Melissa Frances postcard album kit that I have had sitting around for quite some time.  So I finally decided to make it come to life.  I also used a Melissa Frances Baby Ephemera Kit to embellish the inside as well.  I'm still not completely finished but wanted to give you a sneek peek at it.  Enjoy!

I just love everything about Melissa Frances, how everything has such a feel of nostalgia about it and how beautiful everything is.  You can so easily alter the ephemera and make it look even more tattered and torn.  :)  so much fun!
I also used some vintage seam binding (of course) and some prima lace here and there.  How can you not love that stuff.  I can never have enough of prima...anything!  hehe
