I spray painted them with some off white paint and then from there had such joy in dressing them up for a sweet little addition to my daughters room. The first one I used some rose colored tulle and then blinged out the top part of it. I then added some vintage seam binding and a sweet little flower with a rhinestone in the center. I think they all came out pretty stinkin' cute...if I say so myself!
The second dress form I created using some Prima lace and some Maya Road trim and of course some bling, seam binding and some sweet little roses from some trim that I had laying around and then garnished :) them with some rhinestones in the center of each one.
The last one I created I used the same Prima Lace and some Maya Road heart trim. Again, with the same bling and everything.
Lastly, I created this frame which was empty inside and attached chicken wire to the back of it to hang on her wall. It is still being created with some additional chipboard dress forms decorated with some shabby vintage papers and then to be embellished a bit and then hung with minature clothes pins.
I also had purchased this tin envelope from my local Antique mart here in town and saved it for a later date. And now is the later date....it was originally painted a light mauve color so I then took it and painted it a shabby aqua color to coordinate with the colors in her quilt. I just loved the script embossing on it. I then sanded it a bit and took some Tim Holtz Distess Inks and created a very worn, vintage look to the embossed areas of the envelope. This was such a great find and so very inexpensive.
This is still not quite finished yet. I need to embellish this a little bit with some seam binding and maybe some shabby flowers to give it a little lift. But overall, I just love this piece. The next thing I created was from some time back for the Scrapbooking store I design for and this was made by using a Maya Road chipboard frame album, some Graphic45 papers and some little embellishments from Prima and Tim Holtz. I also painted, stamped and distressed the smaller portion of the frame and then glittered the entire outside.
Lastly, was a sweet little saying that I had purchased a while back and it has now found a new location in her room. I also added the banner underneath of it that I had made some time ago. I love how here little room is transforming and watching her grow into a sweet little young girl. It is sad that the sweet, little baby smell is going away but I will cherish every moment I can. Thanks again for stopping by and for your sweet comments. They truly make me happy! :) Have a good nite!
